Babettes Feast

Thank you Netflix for turning me on to such great movies. BF is a small, thoughtful, G-rated movie. Try it, you may be in for a pleasant surprise. Yes, you'll need to understand Danish if you don't like subtitles.

I'm now listening to movies on a NIRO 600 system. This consists of a small multi speaker unit that sits on top of our TV and a subwoofer. Perfect for our smallish guest room where we didn't want a bunch of speakers and wires for home theatre. NIRO gives you a taste of home theatre....the purists would not approve I'm sure. RIP Spring Training

Yesterday we went to the final Rockies spring training game at Hy Corbett Field. I think it's taken me two years to realize the unreality of these games. The veterans don't really care about wining or losing, they are just trying to get their work in to be ready for the season, and the rookies are trying to make an impression. It's best to just go and enjoy the day and the normally beautiful weather. After the seventh inning most of the starters are gone and the "who are they's?" take the field. For the visiting team, the big stars often don't ride the bus down to Tucson so you may or may not see the names. Ichiro rides the bus!

I haven't been able to take a good overhead picture of our revised Mini following the graphic additions. But here is the mock-up from the graphics guy that shows what was added to the bonnet and roof. The boot photo is of the actual finished product..

Day One in the Blogosphere
